The Student Perspective: No Surprises

Sachem North begins its quest for a Long Island championship after winning a Division I regular season title.

With Sachem North headed to the playoffs once again, the atmosphere in the halls of the high school is going to grow tense, as it always does. Every student knows that Sachem takes its football seriously, and no seniors are new to the hype, considering the team has made it to at least this point for three straight years.

Sachem's game against Patchogue-Medford on Friday night is critical to getting the team off to a good start in the post-season after going 7-1 on the regular season.

Led by Dalton Crossan, - coming off a performance in which he scored five touchdowns and rushed for 285 yards - Sachem will look to bring on that football fever once again, as it begins its quest for a Long Island championship.

Around this time of year, as winter begins to set in and fall begins to fade away, a certain feeling of excitement always begins to emerge between the team, students, faculty, and the entire Sachem community. It may not be the NFL, but it can be just as exciting.
