If you have ever lost someone you love - a child, a brother, a friend - please take a minute to read this.

Find it in your hearts to make a donation to our fundraiser to help a young man overcome a traumatic brain injury! Everyone is deserving of help. A little donation can make a huge difference!

Ryan Kreinik is a beautiful, sweet, loving 20 year old with the most beautiful blue eyes you will ever see. He is the kind of son any parent would dream of, the kind of brother who will make you laugh until you can’t breathe, the kind of friend who will always be there for you. He had his entire life ahead of him, so much potential to make something great of himself, until he fell victim to drugs, which are at epidemic proportions on Long Island. Ryan’s battle with drugs was ongoing for years. He was in and out of various rehabs and attended many outpatient programs. He was clean for a while and wanted to get his life back together until December 6th, 2011, when he relapsed and overdosed. He was found by a friend and rushed to the hospital. A few hours after he arrived at the ER, he went into cardiac arrest while surrounded by his family and after being revived, he had only 10% function of his heart, resulting in him being transported to a cardiac hospital in upstate New York. No one thought he would make it through the night. Based on his heart attack and the results of MRI’s, CAT scans, and EEG testing, every doctor has had the same prognosis: his brain is too badly damaged to recover and he will remain in a vegetative state for the rest of his life. But God had other plans. Over the course of the next few months, Ryan was very unstable and in pain, suffering from fevers, pneumonia, muscle contractions, and of course stayed hooked up to his breathing vent and feeding tube. 7 months later, we are happy to say that Ryan has miraculously surpassed all expectations and astounded doctors who are now unable to explain his recovery. He smiles, laughs, breathes on his own, is starting to talk, tries to move his arms and legs, and is now taking food by mouth. Although it’s difficult for him to do all of these things, he stops at nothing. He is so full of life it is as if he has been reborn. Once again, God has given him the potential to make something of himself. He has been given a second chance and as his family, we are trying to ensure that he takes full advantage of that. There are many additional therapies not covered by insurance, the most promising being Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It is our goal to raise enough money to get him the care he needs and deserves so that he can continue on with his life and prove to everyone that miracles really do happen and every life is worth something, regardless of what mistakes you’ve made in your past. Please visit the web address below and donate whatever you can, even a dollar or two gets us closer to our goal. Then please post the link on any social network or spread the word to friends, family, co-workers. We are overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we have recieved and will continue to pay it forward for the rest of our lives in whatever way we can. Please help us share Ryan’s story with others, not only to help raise money in his name but to open people’s eyes to the dangers of drugs. One day, Ryan will be able to thank you personally, and we can’t wait until that day comes.  Thank you all for sharing in our Miracle…

Love and Blessings!

- Ryan and his family

Each oxygen therapy session is $300, with 40 sessions being the recommended amount for a person with a TBI. We are slowly getting closer to our goal of $12,000 and we won't stop until we get there!)
