Wednesday, November 2: Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead: Film Screening with Director Joe Cross: 7 p.m. *Suggested $5 donation to benefit Slow Food: Join them for an exciting evening as we screen the internationally acclaimed film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. Thursday, November 3, Raw Foods Class, 5:30 p.m.: Join their Healthy Eating Specialist, Tim Williams, as he reviews simple recipes for juices and healthy meals. Let’s celebrate your progress and applaud your actions for taking charge of your health and learn the necessary tools to help keep you on the right track. 

Saturday, November 5, Introduction to Yoga for Adults, 11:00 a.m.: Hatha Yoga is the practice of physical postures, breath work and meditation for overall physical and mental health. Join Alicia, certified Yoga Instructor, for a free exclusive workshop exploring the basic practices taught in many Hatha Yoga classes. *Must bring own Yoga Mat.

Sunday, November 6, Holiday Carving Demonstration, Noon: Interested in trying their high quality turkey before the big day? Come down to learn the ins and outs from the pro’s in preparing the perfect Thanksgiving meal. Enjoy some complementary sides, bakery delights and learn how to master the perfect carving techniques. *NOTE: this is not a class, yet a demonstration to include complimentary samples.

Saturday, November 19, Help! Vegetarians are coming for the Holidays, Noon: Tim will enlighten you on some delicious holiday flare that is vegan and/or vegetarian. A meatless holiday meal is more seamless and delicious than you think. 

Friday, November 25, Acoustic Café: Featuring The Rosies, 7:00-9:00 p.m.: Join them for live music in the café, as we showcase the local Long Island group, The Rosies. Relax with a warm Pumpkin Spiced Latte, cool gelato or a scrumptious bakery dessert and enjoy the acoustic sounds of live music. 

Tuesday, November 29, The Tuesday Tour: Low Sodium Foods, 4:00 p.m.: This tour will highlight low-sodium offerings, an increasingly popular way to keep weight off and blood pressure down.
