Village Pizza Opens on Portion Road

Sachem grad is co-owner of new joint.

Village Pizza located on Portion Road next to Carvel had its soft opening Wednesday, April 7.  They anticipate holding their official grand opening in the next week or so.  The owners are long time resident Dominick Crescimanno and Anthony Caronna of Selden.

Crescimanno, a 1988 graduate of Sachem High School, said his family's history in the Sachem Central School District dates back to the 1970's.  His wife who is his high school sweetheart, also graduated from Sachem and two of his children are currently in the district.  His oldest son Joseph is now in college studying performing arts and his younger children Dominick and Gianna both attend Sachem High School East.

"My daughter Gianna is on the Arrowettes and Dominick plays for the lacrosse club as well as football and basketball," he said.

The grand opening will also introduce a few new specials for Village Pizza including $2 off of a large pizza pie, 15-percent off any order over $30, as well as two slices and a fountain soda for $4.50.

They also intend to introduce a special where customers will receive a card that will get stamped with every pie purchase, after 10 pies they will get the eleventh one free.

"We hope to eventually have some family packages and we plan to have some daily specials as well," Crescimanno said.
