Sachem Library’s Refurbished Kids’ Area Now Open

Ribbon cut at Saturday ceremony.

The Sachem Public Library, 150 Holbrook Rd. in Holbrook, now has a newly refurbished children’s space that had its ribbon cutting on Saturday.

The renovation of the space started in June and includes bright new paint, carpeting, upgraded technology and service stations said Linda Overton, head of children’s services at the library, to Patch in an email.

Overton said that there is new furniture for reading and an interactive wall that encourages early literacy for babies and toddlers.
