Cupcake Girlz Offer Decorating Class on Kids' Day Off

Next Monday, the kids are off from school, and Cupcake Girlz in Farmingville is offering a special Craft & Cupcake Decorating class to help while away the time. Sessions for the classes are at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., but you should call (631) 320-3172 to reserve a spot so they can have an accurate headcount. Cost: $20 per person and comes with a free drink and snack.

Dodgeball Night

Shinjitsu Self Defense of Holbrook, whom we featured today in our , is offering a Back-To-School special for self defense classes. Enroll your student now for $39.95 for the first month of lessons and it comes with a free uniform and belt. Also, the dojo hosts "Dodgeball Night" on Friday's at 7:30 p.m. As Shinjitsu Owner and Principal Vito DeMola puts it: "It is a night full of games and the kids get to interact with other kids from all over the Sachem school district."

Holbrook Chamber is 'Noshing Through Brooklyn'

Next Saturday, September 22, the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce will be your guided tour through Brooklyn, as Spies Travel/American Express in Holbrook will take a bus full of registrants to the borough to sample some of the culturally diverse foods that make Brooklyn such a buzzing place to be.
