Filthy Frogzz To Hold Toy Drive/Holiday Party

Filthy Frogzz on Hawkins Avenue in Ronkonkoma will be holding a toy drive and holiday party on December 15. This is the bar's 7th annual toy drive to be distributed to needy families all over the Sachem School District. A full buffet and drink specials will be served to those who attend bearing gifts.

You don't have to be a bar patron to help out either. The bar is accepting toys from people who would rather just drop off a gift, so long as donations are dropped off before December 17, when the toys will be distributed to the community. Toy donations are for kids ranging in ages 1 month to 18 years.

Holbrook Chamber of Commerce Hosts Menorah Lighting

The Holbrook Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to attend its annual Chanukah Menorah Lighting tomorrow at 6 p.m. Rabbi Steven Moss of B'nai Israel Reform Temple will officiate over the event.

Chanuka Gelt will be handed out to children at this free event. The lighting takes place at the Friendly Drugs Parking Lot on Main Street in Holbrook. Click on the headline for more details in our Events page. 

Holbrook-Based Northstar Global Services Soon to Release Snorenz

Northstar Global has announced that its flagship anti-snoring product Snorenz will be available for general retail earlier than predicted.

According to a release the company stated it is ahead of its original January release schedule to have the OTC medication available on shelves at a number of stores. The company would not disclose which stores they have entered into an agreement with to sell the product.

Snorenz is a throat spray aimed at eliminating or decreasing snoring in sleepers, a condition that often leads to sleep deprivation and apnea. Based in Holbrook, Northstar Global is a publicly traded company that trades under the symbol: OTCPink: MDIN. Northstar is projecting to sell more than 12 million units of Snorenz in 2013.
