Ronkonkoma Security Company Lands Fashion Retail Account

Sentry Technology Corporation inks 230K deal with unnamed fashion retailer.

Ronkonkoma-based Sentry Technology Corporation recently announced it landed a $230,000 account to service the security systems of a major fashion retailer.

The publicly traded company (otc pink:SKVY) did not disclose the name of the retailer in its release to stockholders and the public on July 30. However, the $230,000 account includes the use of the company's trademarked "Video Railway," a closed-circuit television camera designed to travel through the store with pan/tilt capabilities on a light rail suspended from the ceiling.

The Video Railways will be installed in the retailer's expanding fulfillment center, which is a massive warehouse boasting thousands of shelves of merchandise used to fulfill online orders.

The account, secured ahead of the company's official September launch of the new camera system, puts the new offering on solid footing in Q3, heading into Q4.

"We are pleased to receive our first order for multiple VideoRailway systems to be installed at a major retailer," Peter Murdoch, president and CEO of Sentry Technology stated in a release. "Thousands of our SmartTrack, analog traveling CCTV systems have been installed worldwide and we believe that the new VideoRailway design addresses a much larger market, offering a great opportunity to grow our business."

Sentry's corporate HQ is located on Lakeland Avenue in Ronkonkoma.
