Ronkonkoma Resident Finds Success With Numis Network

Four-star manager Mark Ghobril sells collectible gold and silver coins and crystals.

When Mark Ghobril first sought to supplement his full-time earnings with some additional income, he had no prior background in coin collecting. Just over one year later, the Ronkonkoma resident is a four-star manager for the Numis Network, with 145 associates spread throughout the United States.

When he first heard about the opportunities available through the Numis Network, Ghobril’s lack of knowledge of the coin business led him to write it off as something interesting but outside of his reach. However, after researching the market and analyzing its compensation model, he was hooked.

“I finally took a closer look, and the more I thought about it, the more sense it made,” Ghobril reflected. “I realized that gold and silver made for a tangible product, especially in today’s stock market environment.”

The Numis Network is similar to top multi-level marketers such as Avon and Mary Kay, ranking at 164 out of 687 home businesses actively tracked by the Multi-level Marketers index. Those interested in the company can get involved as a distributor, and can choose to bring others into the organization to make more money. However, the marketer stands out by specializing in gold and silver coins. The products that Numis representatives sell are real coins from 13 different mints across the country, with varying specific values depending on their “grade.” Coins are graded on a scale from 1 to 70, with a score of 70 indicating perfect, museum-quality condition. Depending upon where they fall on the scale, coins can be worth anywhere from $1 to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Ghobril attributes much of his rapid success to the Numis Network’s contact-oriented business model.

“A lot of what I do is simply contacting people,” he said. “Many of these people are on my own team, but the best part about Numis is the spillover that builds up between everyone’s networks.”

In addition to graded coins, Ghobril sells the Numis Network's “Forever Crystal,” a product that he emphasized as extremely unique and customizable. Customers can submit both photos and a personalized message, which are then etched into their crystal by powerful lasers.

“The Forever Crystal is made of quartz and is a great way to encapsulate any kind of memory, such as a birth, anniversary, or even a Little League celebration,” Ghobril commented. “It comes in a beautiful box, and can even be coupled with coins as a gift set.”

Ghobril’s involvement with the Numis Network has extended beyond the sale of products. He exhibited his extensive collection in late November at the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County (UCPN) Long Island Festival of Trees, donating a percentage of the sales directly to the charity. However, he has forged a partnership between the two organizations that is built to last.

“I contacted the UCPN Director of Development about working together, and he liked the idea so much that we are now looking at the partnership as an ongoing source of both funding and new members,” noted Ghobril. “They are going to promote the Numis Network’s coins and crystals among their members and supporters, and those purchases will in turn generate revenue for the charity.”
