Ronkonkoma Company Rolls Out New Protein Bar
Targeted to health-conscious and active consumers, new bars have a softer touch.
Ronkonkoma-based NBTY and its protein supplement subsidiary Pure Protein have unveiled a new protein bar for the lifestyle, health and fitness market.
Pure Protein's Soft Baked Bars come in Double Chocolate Vanilla Crunch and Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch flavors and boast pure forms of digestible protein with just 5 grams of sugar.
The company announced the product roll-out in a release. Unlike common protein bars which have a crunchy substance, Soft Baked bars have a cake center.
The company also announced its retail distribution, stocking Pure Protein Soft Baked Bars in stores such as Walmart, Target, Stop & Shop, Shop Rite, CVS Pharmacy, Duane Reade, 7-Eleven and GNC.
NBTY is a publicly traded company headquartered on Smithtown Avenue in Ronkonkoma. Earlier this month NBTY released its Q3 financial statement, which showed YTD net sales at over $2.3 million.
