Ronkonkoma Chamber Hosts 2nd Annual Clambake

Lake Ronkonkoma beach fills underneath the tent for massive B-B-Q.

More than 200 residents descended upon Lake Ronkonkoma Beach on Lake Shore Drive in Ronkonkoma yesterday for live music, fresh seafood and lively conversation.

The Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce held its 2nd Annual Clambake at Lt. Michael Murphy Park. A live band played covers into the setting sun, and the line at the grill stations never died down.

Congressional hopeful Randy Altschuler, who will be opposing incumbent Tim Bishop, even stopped by for the food and mingling. Patch will have more photos in a gallery later this weekend.
