Sales Position here at Patch: If you’re interested in marketing and advertising and want to work within the Sachem community there is a sales position open with Sachem.Patch.com. Security Guard: This is a mobile patrol position in the Lake Grove, Ronkonkoma, and Hauppauge areas for license security officers. Weekday and weekend shifts (4 p.m. until midnight) area available.
Gas Turbine Mechanic: Working at the New York Power Authority location in Holtsville, the gas turbine mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and planning of a 150-megawatt gas turbine power plant. Expert power plant knowledge needed. Extensive experience with electrical programming and digital controls also required.
Office Manager: Like pianos and have a knack for getting things done? Then check out this office manager position with a Holbrook-based, internet piano business. Computer skills and great organizational skills needed. Internet marketing abilities will give you a leg up. Pay is $15 per hour.
Assemblers: Ronkonkoma-based company seeks assemblers for a temporary opening. Work is weekdays, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Experience with small components and wires preferred. Pay between $10 and $11 per hour.
Cook: Farmingville pizzeria on Mooney Pond Road is looking for a cook for Sundays and Mondays. Restaurant experience, including Italian cuisine and making dough, are a must.
Receiving Clerk: The Hyatt Hotel in Ronkonkoma has an opening for a receiving clerk. The successful candidate has strong communication skills and the ability to lift items of moderate weight as the shipping of guest packages is a large part of this position. Pay is $11.50 per hour.
Nail technicians: Holtsville-based nail salon is looking for nail techs for both full and part-time shifts. Previous experience and a following preferred, but not required.
Clerk: Not much is mentioned about this full-time position with Nationwide Insurance in Patchogue except that it is full time plus commission. Pay starts at $10 per hour. Open interviews are being held tomorrow, and Tuesday, August 2, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Whole Foods Market: The folks at Whole Foods Market would like the Sachem community to know that on every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. the company’s Lake Grove location will be hosting a job hiring screening.
