Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, May 15

The seasonal hiring seen on this job board in May hit a lull. In fact, there weren't many jobs posted across the internet in general, especially on Craigslist which offered just one new job in the Sachem area this week. Nevertheless, here's a look at a small sample of what is out there:

Events Coordinator: Four Seasons Sunrooms and Windows is looking for an ethusiastic candidate for an open events coordinator position. Reporting to the head of marketing, the right candidate will deliver the daily, weekly and mothly issued lead targets, as well as develop schedules to ensure that all shows and events run smoothly. This is a full-time position paying $15 per hour. Four-year degree required.

Medical assistant/Receptionist: Dr. Ismail Ozcan, a board certified family physician in Ronkonkoma, is looking for a medical assistant who can handle receptionist responsibilities as well. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish a must. Salary based on experience. Benefits available.

Food Safety Director: J. Kings, a food service manufaturing company in Holtsville, is seeking an food safety director. Experience in production, cost and yielding, and three to five years experience in food service management preferred. Previous knowledge of USDA a plus. Attractive benefits package included.

Service Technician: Concord Management, a national property management company of multi-family affordable rental housing communities in Farmingville, has an opening for a service technician to perform duties and maintain safety, operation, and aesthetics of apartment properties in Suffolk County. Being able to reference schedules, MSDS sheets,  and service request needed. High school diploma or GED required.

Copy Editor and Administrator: This entry level position is with American Portfolios Financial Services in Holbrook. Candidate must have a four-year degree in communications or journalism, excellent writing skills, and be proficient in Microsoft’s Office Business Suite. Customer service abilities and a knack for interacting with people is key. Pay between $33,000 and $34,000 annually.

Oil Tank Installer: Nesconset-based company looking to fill a full-time, year round, oil tanker installer position that is currently open. Expereince a plus, but will train. Having a CDL license is a leg up.
