Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, July 17

Several medical-related positions appeared across the internet this week. That's good news for those in that field, but for those looking for local work in other fields the postings were average at best. Here, have a look:

Office Manager: Private practice in Ronkonkoma seeks office manager. Position includes acting as a medical assistant while also taking care of receptionist responsibilities. Bilingual abilities needed.

Account Representative: This is an entry-level position at Aflac in Ronkonkoma. As an account representative you will be responsible for promoting Aflac services in a business-to-business environment. Enthusiastic and career-minded applicants with strong customer services skills wanted.

Environmental Spill Response: Clear View Environmental Services in Holtsville is in needed of experienced spill response workers. Previous experience working with a backhoe, oil tank installation and general construction is strongly preferred.

Radiologist: Not located in the Sachem area, but rather at Stony Brook Hospital, this radiologist position is open to anyone that is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship training preferred, but not needed. Current openings are in Neurology, General Diagnostic, Abdominal Imaging and Musculoskelatal.

Housekeepers: Lake Shore Assisted Living in Lake Ronkonkoma is looking to fill a part-time housekeeping position. Must be able to work shifts on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Pay is $9 per hour.

Babysitter: Ronkonkoma family seeks female sitter to help care for three children, two girls (11 and 9) and a boy (7). Responsibilities include getting the children ready for school and caring for them when school is not in session. Pay between $5 and $10 per hour.

Driver and Warehouse Help: Medical supply company in Holbrook looking for reliable and honest drivers. Work week is Monday through Friday (10 a.m. until 6 p.m.) and includes making visits to client's homes. Pay between $10 and $12 per hour. Clean license needed.

Sales Assistant: Quickline Adaptive, a growing manufacture of medical and cosmetic needs in Ronkonkoma, is looking for a dynamic sales assistant to help continue the company’s growth.  Knowledge of customer tracking software preferred, as is a background in customer service and sales. Benefits and 401k offered.

Customer Service Rep: Holbrook-based maintenance firm in need of a customer service representative with strong detail-oriented abilities. Answering phones, client inquiries, resolving complaints, and working with Microsoft Word and Excel are all apart of this position. Salary between $38,000 and $42,000. Benefits included.

LPN Needed: Health care staffing firm in Centereach seeks LPN to assist one-year-old male with ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy. Position requires working overnight on weekends, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

Whole Foods Market: The folks at Whole Foods Market would like the Sachem community to know that on every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. the company’s Lake Grove location will be hosting a job hiring screening.
