Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Jan. 23

For the most part – or at least on the internet – job openings around the community remain as healthy as they have been in the past two months. Postings on Craigslist are down, but individual companies advertising on sites like Monster.com and Indeed.com are up. Here's some of the position in Sachem that were posted this week: 

Administrative Assistant: B Squared Construction seeks administrative assistant for its busy Ronkonkoma office. Knowledge of construction industry preferred. Weekly pay between $360 and $400. 

Positions in Sachem Schools: The Sachem Central School District has several openings for part-time food service workers. These positions are open at elementary and high schools. To view these positions click here and then click on each position’s link on the left side of the page. 

PC Board Assembler: Randstad in Ronkonkoma has several temporary job openings for electronic assemblers. Pay is between $10 and $18 per hour. Experience in assembly or similar work required. 

Counter/Cashier: Lombardi’s Market is looking for part-time help to work the counter and the cash register at its Holbrook location on Main Street. 

Baby Sitter: Ronkonkoma family seeks sitter for two children. This is a part-time position (Fridays 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and a few afternoon hours one day a week). Pay is between $10 and $12. CPR certification required. 

Registered Nurse: PRN nurses available for either the first (7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.) or second shift (3:30 p.m. until 12 a.m.) are needed at the Rao Medical Group in Holtsville. This is a full-time position. Minimal one year experience required. 

Store Manager: Sears Hardware on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma is looking for a store manager. This position provides an attractive benefits package, and also requires three to five years retail store/field management. 

Sales Associate: A new wedding and special events company seeks a full-time sales associate to run its  Farmingville location. This position includes a base salary plus commission. Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to generate new business a big plus. 

Dispatcher: American Medical Response of Holbrook is looking to fill a part-time dispatcher position. Responsibilities include receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls to medical technicians and paramedics. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. 

Personal Trainer: If you have experience in the fitness industry than take advantage of the influx of folks looking to get in shape during the new year as a personal trainer at LA Fitness in Lake Grove. Must be over 18 and hard working.

Tax Examining Technician: This position is with the Internal Revenue Service in Holtsville and is a research heavy job that including varifying taxpayer information to resolve issues. Pay is between $35,000 and $45,000 annually. 

Zumba Teacher: This job is specific, but if you're a certified Zumba teacher then a Martial Arts establishment in Holtsville is interested in you teaching class Tuesday and Wednesday nights (7-8 p.m.).
