Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Feb. 5

For the second week in a row job postings in the Sachem area are slightly down. New Craigslist postings - often posted by small businesses - were almost null. As for postings found else were, here's a look at some:

Accounts Payable: Four Seasons Sunrooms is looking for an accounts payable clerk for its Holbrook office on Vets Highway. Experience (1 to 3 years) is required, and at least a two-year degree. This is position involves heavy clerical and administrative work.

Data Procurement Associate: This entry level position is with Carco Group, Inc. of Holtsville, a leader in the security providing investigative and security consulting services. This is a full time position with benefits. Regular requirements consist of resolving issues with court personnel and maintaining contact with vendors.

Shift Supervisor: Have previous supervising experience in retail or food service? At least an associates degree? Then you might be the right fit for the shift supervisor position open at Rite Aid in Farmingville. Primary responsibilities include customer service, inventory control, and overall product maintenance.

Ramp Agent: If you don’t mind a little physical labor this full-time position with South West Airlines at MacArthur Airport might is a unique option. Responsibilities of a ramp agent include providing customer service, handling of luggage, and general cleaning when needed. Must be able to work outdoors and lift items up to 70 pounds in weight. Minimal requirements include high school or GED diploma, 18 years of age, clean drivers license.

Teacher Assistant: The Development Disabilities Institute (DDI) in Ronkonkoma (and Medford) is looking to fill both full time and part time teacher assistant positions. Some college coursework is required. Previous experience with children with disabilities helpful. Medical and dental coverage, plus tuition reimbursement offered.

Babysitter: Mother of nine-month old and five-year-old seeks sitter for “random days.” Position pays between $5 and $10 an hour and involves driving oldest to school.

Engineering Intern: Motorola Solutions has two intern positions available this summer for engineers students graduating on or after September 1, 2011. One of the internships is focused on the measurement systems for Advanced Data Capture products and the other is geared to direct and indirect category management.

Customer Service Rep.: HSBC Bank on Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma has an opening for a part-time customer service representative. The right candidate will be responsible for processing various financial transactions for customers and assisting management. Strong interpersonal skills required, as well as at least one year related experience.

Pet Sitter: This position only lasts a week, but is a quick way to make some extra cash for the right person willing to pet sit for two dogs (chocolate lab and corgi) in Farmingville from February 18 through February 27. References and fee required.

Call Center Rep.: Teacher’s Federal Credit Union in Farmingville has an opening for a call center representative. Great interpersonal skills and organization required for this full time position with benefits. Job requirements include answering phones and providing rates and general information regarding products and services.

Front Desk Help: Sachem Dental has a full-time front desk opening. This is a busy office so experience would be helpful, but not required.
