Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Feb. 12

Similar to last week, not much was posted by community members or small businesses on Craigslist within in the last seven days. There was an uptick in businesses posting across job boards, many of which were semi-skilled positions. Nevertheless, here's some of the positions posted this week:

Chef: If you have the experience (15 years in a kitchen) then you might be the right person for the working chef position open at the Long Island Grill in Ronkonkoma. Dependable and hard working individual with sautee experience sought. 

Night Stock Person: NBTY, a manufacture and distributor of nutritional supplements in Holbrook has an opening for a night stock person to verify and replenish warehouse inventory. This is a full-time position that requires working from 11:30 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. High School diploma or GED preferred. 

Sitter: Part-time mother’s helper needed for holbrook family with two young children (two-year-old and newborn). Work days include Monday, Wednesday and Friday (9 a.m. until 5 p.m.). Transportation is a must, as well as high energy to keep up with two year old.  Pay is between $5 and $10 an hour.

Salesperson: For motorheads this could be your first step into the working world of automotives, working as a sales person at Advance Auto Pats in Holbrook that is. This is an hourly paid position that stresses the importance of customer service. 

Housekeeper: Ronkonkoma family seeks trustworthy housekeeper to work once a week. Position pays between $15 and $30 an hour and requires full cleaning of bathroom, kitchen and general rooms. House is a colonial with four bedrooms and one-and-one-half bathrooms. 

Graphic Design Internship: Rotcho, a maker and distributor of military clothes and gear in Ronkonkoma is offering a hands-on graphic design internship. This paid opportunity will be roughly 24-40 hours a week and will last through the summer. Position entails working with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Students and recent graduates welcome. 

Personnel Banker: This full-time position with J.P. Morgan Chase in Lake Ronkonkoma is a sales first position with a primary goal of acquiring, retaining and furthering customer relations. Previous sales experience preferred. Weekend and some even work may be in the cards. 

Grooming Assistant: Like animals? Why not give this grooming trainee position at Petco in Lake Grove a try. Grooming, booking appointments, and completing commission paperwork are all part of the position. Basic qualifications include holding a high school diploma or a GED. 

Registered Nurse: Located in Farmingville, Bayada Nurses is a quickly growing home health care provider which is currently seeking registered nurses with at least one-year’s experience. As of now, the company has immediate openings for Thursday and Saturday nights. 

Assistant Property Manager: Home Properties, a publicly traded Real Estate Trust, currenlty has an opening for a full-time assistant property manager for an apartment complext in Lake Grove. Previous management experience is ideal for this work which is based around assisting the property manager in overseeing properties from lease to stabilization. Strong knowledge of property management law and resident relations preferred.
