Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, August 7

Since last week one of two job openings at Sachem Patch have been filled. There is still a sales position open, though, as well as a handful of other positions in the area that were posted on the internet this week. Take a look:

Sales Position at Sachem Patch: If you’re interested in marketing and advertising and want to work within the Sachem community there is a sales position open with Sachem.Patch.com. The scope of the job is selling online advertisement (banners, ads) for this site, which means working with local businesses and merchants. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Excellent benefits offered.

HVAC Technician: Ronkonkoma-based outfit looking for someone with HVAC and/or duct cleaning experience. Valid drivers license, ability to drive a box truck, and availability on weekends are required.

Recreation Counselor: Maryhaven Center of Hope in Holtsville has an opening for a recreation counselor. This is a full-time position that includes both day and evening shifts. High School diploma and at least one year experience working with the developmentally disabled is required.

Line Cook: Irish Times Pub in Holbrook seeks experienced line cook. Full and part time positions available. Minimal of three years experience desired.

Babysitter: Selden family seeks sitter for two children (4- 6 years of age) on weekday mornings, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include prep for school each day. Pay is $360 a month.

General Office Help: Do you live in Suffolk and have strong computer skills? Know how to use Microsoft excel? Looking for either part time or full time work? Then check out the general office help position available at Quality Burner Services in Holtsville. Customer service skills and the ability to multitask are a big plus.

Photo Lab Supervisor: CVS in Ronkonkoma is looking for a photo lab supervisor to watch over all aspects of its photo lab. Customer services skills are important, as is the ability to demonstrate leadership in the lab. No previous experience necessary.

English Teacher: Public schools might not be hiring at the moment, but a Christian K-12 school in Centereach is. If you are an English teacher with experience in either a junior, or senior, high school setting, then you might be the right person for this position.

Warehouse Supervisor: Exide Technologies, an international producer and recycler of lead-acid batteries, is looking for a warehouse supervisor for its Ronkonkoma location. Overseeing day-to-day activities; coordinating and evaluating warehouse workers and truck drivers; and taking care of interviews, hiring and training are all responsibilities of this position. Minimum three years of related experience needed.

Store Clerk: Book distributor and retail store in Patchogue seeks clerk for retail position that entails working the cash register as well as stocking and restocking inventory. Flexibility and willingness to travel needed.

Purchasing Assistant: This is a temp to permanent opportunity in Ronkonkoma. Working as a purchasing assistant you will be required to identify streamline processes such as ordering controls, identifying and implementing process improvements. College degree preferred, as is knowledge of business management and inventory management. Salary starting at $45,000 annually.

Customer Service Representative: Construction firm in Lake Grove is looking for a customer service rep. Detail-oriented individual with strong phone skills wanted. Scheduling appointments, resolving inquiries and typing letters are all requirements of this position. Pay between $35,000 and $42,000 annually. Benefits offered.

Assemblers: Ronkonkoma-based company seeks assemblers for a temporary opening. Work is weekdays, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Experience with small components and wires preferred. Pay between $10 and $11 per hour.
