Farmingville's Hookah Bar Cited with Violations

State Liquor Authorities, Fire Marshals, and others infringe on facility Friday night.

Two Coram residents were arrested following a State Liquor Authority inspection at a hookah bar in Farmingville Friday night, Suffolk County Police said.

With the help of State Liquor Authority investigators, Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals and investigators, the group discovered town code violations, fire code violations, and Alcoholic Beverage Control Law violations.

As a result of these investigations, the Tiki Hookah Bar, located at 1075 Portion Road, was ordered closed, police said in a statement issued early Saturday.

Sule Mavruk, 25, of Glenmere Lane, Coram, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and released on bail.

Tunahan Mavruk, 18, also Glenmere Lane, Coram, was charged with Harassment 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.

Mavruk is scheduled to be arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip on September 18.

The investigation is continuing.
