Farmingville Holds First-Ever Street Fair

Community, leaders and organizers come out to show support for local businesses.

Yesterday the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce hosted its much anticipated first-ever street fair along the stretch of Portion Road between Morris and South Howell Avenues.

Organizers of the event couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, as hundreds flocked to the event with a chance to meet local business owners and their neighbors.

These photos were captured by Patch freelancer Bob Sorensen. A larger gallery and a story will follow later today.

A beautiful day and a well planned event enjoyed by many. Lots of local vendors, plenty of treats to eat and fun stuff to buy. I didn't meet anyone who wasn't enjoying the day. Hope it grows with each year to come.
