Farmingville Hills Chamber to Host Inaugural Feast of Farmingville

Event will allow folks to sample local cuisine.

The Farmingville Hills Chamber is taking their community organization skills to another level in November as they host their first major event.

The Feast of Farmingville will take place Wednesday, November 2 at The Flaming Hearth on Horseblock Road. There are only 200 tickets available. If you’re interested in attending, you can purchase them through the Chamber’s website.

The Feast of Farmingville will allow folks to sample cuisine from many Farmingville eateries, including Cupcake Girlz, J&C 68 Restaurant, Island Fish, Pauly’s Pizza & Pasta and The Flaming Hearth.

“It's time for Farmingville residents to get involved,” said Chamber President Michael Wentz. “Seeing that many businesses have joined the Chamber within the first year shows they have pride in Farmingville and want to support the town they do business in. In turn, we would like the residents to shop local and support these businesses.”

To top it off, every restaurant participating in this event, gives up to a 15 percent discount with the free Farmingville FUNds Card.

“This is a great event not only because they will now be aware of these restaurants, but they will be able to sample food from these restaurants for a very low price,” Wentz said.

Seven months after hosting their first meeting, they have more than 50 members already signed up for their organization.

The chamber will also be working with Donna McNally, Director of the Sachem School Business Alliance. At the event, Sachem students will be volunteering their time to assist the chamber and in return, will receive community credits and will be able to use these on their college applications.
