Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza Opens New Location

Pizza chain opened its doors on Veterans Highway earlier this week.

Those waiting for a flight at MacArthur Airport, or heading up to the Ronkonkoma LIRR station just got another place to grab a slice of pizza while they wait.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, a south Florida-based chain, opened its latest location on Jan. 20, this time on Veterans Highway in Bohemia, just across the street from MacArthur.

Founded by Long Island native Anthony Bruno with partner and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza cooks its products in coal-burning ovens at 800 degrees for that "well done" pizza effect. Prior to the Bohemia opening, Anthony's had only one other Suffolk location in Commack.

“Our ‘well done’ pizza and Italian Soul Food has received rave reviews in my hometown of Long Island,” Bruno stated in a release. “I’m looking forward to bringing it closer to our friends in Bohemia.”

The chain has 43 locations in the U.S. The new restaurant is located at 4180 Veterans Memorial Highway. Store hours are 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Customers can also order take-out by calling (631) 647-2625. A full bar is available at this location as well.
