Sachem Alum on MTV's Jersey Shore

North graduate makes appearance in season two episode.

Like the rest of the world it seems, Samantha Licari has been attracted to MTV's hit reality show "Jersey Shore."

While vacationing in Miami, the Sachem North graduate had an opportunity to see the cast up close and personal. She was walking into the nightclub B.E.D. and saw two taxicabs pull up, camera crews filming every moment.

"It ended up being part of the Jersey Shore cast," she said.

Jersey Shore attracts some 5.5 million viewers. The show follows eight housemates spending their summer at the Jersey Shore (Season One) and Miami Beach (Season Two). The housemates are stereotypical Italian-Americans who reference themselves as "guido and guidettes."

Licari noticed the producers influencing the cast mates' actions. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammie "Sweetheart" Giancola, who have been in an on-again-off-again relationship since Season One, were told to get into a cab together on the way from the nightclub, she said.

While inside B.E.D., Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, a member of the cast, was making small talk with the Sachem resident.

"The camera guy comes running up to me and asked if I would mind signing some paperwork so they could show the footage on MTV," Licari said.

Although, she was nervous the show would portray her personality differently than how she sees herself, she signed the paperwork anyway.

While hanging out with part of the cast, Licari witnessed Jersey Shore drama first hand. Cast member Angelina Pivarnick saw Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio kiss an engaged girl at the club. Angelina, who originally left the show during the first season because she missed her married boyfriend – it's a nightmare –, started an argument with Pauly.

Licari explained while they were in the cab going to the Jersey Shore house, Angelina was yelling at Pauly. The heated argument displayed how nasty the cast could get.

"Me and my friend were kind of uncomfortable at that point," she said. "I definitely would say that the Jersey Shore cast is acted out a little bit. It was still an amazing experience that I will never forget."

Her footage aired on Episode Two of the current season. Jersey Show airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m.
