From the Lens ... Sachem in Pictures

The Ronkonkoma railroad station bustles in the dead of an early summer night.

It's approaching 2 a.m. in Ronkonkoma. The taxis are lined up, and folks are waiting for the 2:10 to Penn Station.  I recently featured the station during the day, and I revisited it to see what the night reveals. These black and white images display the middle-of-the-night contrast between stillness and frenzy.

Check out the original LIRR From the Lens column, as well.
