The Long Island Flute Club is pleased to continue it's tradition of presenting our annual Holiday Concerts. The concert will feature a variety of seasonal classics that are gaurenteed to put you in the spirit of the season. The sixteen piece Flute Ensemble will feature all members of the flute family from piccolo to the bass flute. The ensemble, directed bu Lauren Osnato will play a variety of festive classics such as "O,ComeO Ye Faithful" and "A Christmas Overture" to "The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". It is a holiday celebration for children of all ages!
Our concert will be Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 3:00pm at The United Methodist Church of Lake Ronkonkoma. This is the eighth year that the Flute Club will be presenting a holiday concert at this charming, historic church. The picturesque church is located at 795 Hawkins Avenue in Lake Grove. The concert is free of charge. In the spirit of the holiday season, we will be taking up a collection to donate to United Cerebral Palsy.
The LIFC Holiday Flute Choir is made up of members of the Long Island Flute Club. This group is made up of a mixture of adults and teens from all over Long Island who play at an advanced level. They are professional players, teachers and students who all love the flute and enjoy sharing music. We look forward to celebrating the season with you!
