Beyer Holds 'Serve' on Hell's Kitchen

Sachem alum pressed into wait service, but both teams get thrown out of the kitchen.

Last night on Fox's "Hell's Kitchen," Sachem alum and contestant Barret Beyer seems to have survived another week on the hit cooking show.

"Seems to" because last week the women lost the dinner service contest and had to nominate two women to be kicked off the show by host Gordon Ramsay, but Ramsay pulled a switcharoo and kicked off male contestant Jeremy Madden. Madden committed the unforgiveable sin of serving sample eggs made by Chef Ramsay over an hour before diners arrived to eat, creating a health hazard.

This week, both the male and female chefs fell on their faces during a dinner service in which one chef from each team was forced to experience what waiters and waitresses endure by taking orders at the tables.

Beyer was the nominated server for the men's team, and immediately had trouble writing order tickets to Ramsay's satisfaction. Ramsay kept tearing up the order tickets and flinging them in Beyer's face.

In the end, Ramsay kicked both teams out of the kitchen while his sous chefs completed the dinner service. Since there was no winning team, Ramsay ordered both teams to nominate two people for elimination. The women nominated Nedra and Mary for serving raw pork. The men nominated Ray and Dan for making a debacle of the fish station.

Just at the close of the show, Ramsay ordered all four contestants to hand in their jackets. We have to tune in next week to find out if all four are going, or if Ramsay has some other plan in store.

For now "it seems" that Barret Beyer is safe as the pool is narrowed down to 15.
