Barret Beyer Still Hanging Tough on Hell's Kitchen

Sachem alum and Emporium chef helps the men win their first dinner service, despite being blanked on challenges.

Sachem alum and contestant on Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" Barret Beyer has survived another two weeks on the elimination show, after the men finally got to sit back and watch the ladies take the hot seat last night.

The sous chef at the Emporium in Patchogue helped his team improve dramatically over the past three weeks when it comes to serving dinner in Hell's Kitchen: good enough for host Gordon Ramsay to set his elimination sights on the women for a change.

However, the men are still without a single win in the challenges, as the women continue to rise to the occassion and get VIP excursions while the men slave away on dinner prep.

Last night the women pulled off a lunch service for a dining hall filled with runners who had competed in a 3K awareness race. As a result they were flown in a private jet to Napa wine country, while the men had to clean every scrap of paper off the race course and scrub the street paintings off the road.

No matter. They bounced back, and even though it almost got physical between two contestants, they impressed Ramsay enough and got to sit down during the elimination session. In the end, Danielle Boorn, a GA-based executive chef was forced to turn in her jacket for a bad job at the meat station.

For now, Beyer is safe and the 18 chefs that started the show are down to 14.
