Trivia Question Revealed: The Historic Photo In Farmingville

Difficult to get anything past some Sachem community members.

Earlier today we posted a trivia question accompanied with an historic photo taken in 1965 of a quiet intersection in Farmingville. We asked the community to correctly identify the intersection. At least five participants got the question right, even though that sleepy intersection in the photo is not so sleepy anymore.

The answer: The intersection of Horseblock Road and North Ocean Avenue.

The photograph was forwarded to Sachem Patch by Michael Wentz, president of the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce. According to Wentz, that building in the photo is where the 7-Eleven now stands.
