Things To Do On The Cheap This Weekend

A quick roundup of events happening in Sachem on a tight budget.

Winter time can be a depressing period on Long Island. It's a time when outdoor cafe's shutter and music in the park goes silent. It's also a time when budgets can be at the year's tightest, right after Christmas and before the tax man comes to the door.

Here's a look at some low-exense events taking place in Sachem this weekend to help you get out of the house without breaking the bank.

Dancing for Daniel

Friday, January 18

The event is named after Daniel Joseph Schnell, who was born last July and has neurological and developmental issues due to some debilitating seizures. The evening was created to help alleviate some of the Family’s financial stresses, enabling them to concentrate on Daniel’s much needed care. There will be a raffle and prizes at this event as well.
