Ronkonkoma Funeral Home Holds Vigil For Newtown Victims

In an interfaith ceremony led by a pastor, priest and rabbi, more than 100 gather to light a candle and say a prayer.

At least a hundred area residents gathered at Moloney's Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma tonight to light a candle and hear some comforting messages from religious leaders in the wake of the massacre in Newtown, Conn.

Holding lit candles in the rainy, chilly night, the crowd was introduced to the spiritual leaders by Dan Moloney, who also spoke about his personal reaction to the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings.

Moloney closed the ceremony by reading off each name of the 26 victims. Patch will have more on this story later.
