Post 48 Holds Annual Dinner Dance

Group honors past immediate commander Michael Dickson.

The AMVETS Post 48 in Ronkonkoma held its 15th Anniversary Dinner Dance at the Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore, where they honored their former Immediate Commander Michael Dickson.

Dickson, a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam was recognized for his two years of service with the post.

Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore was on hand to present Dickson a proclamation from the county body and thank him for his work at the Post.

“I was happy to personally thank former Commander Dickson,” Legis. Muratore stated in a release. “His service back then, and now with the AMVETS is worthy of recognition, and I congratulate him for this well-deserved honor.”
