Online Fundraiser Launched For Inaugural Sachem East Grad

Friends open "Give Forward" campaign for Lauren Rispoli, class of 2005, diagnosed with cancer.

A donations page for a Sachem East graduate has been launched in an effort to raise funds to cover her medical bills while she battles with cancer.

The page, entitled "Support Spolibabes" is for Lauren Rispoli, a member of the first class to graduate from Sachem East in 2005. The copy reads:

The Family and Friends of Lauren Rispoli are uniting as one to raise money to help her with her recent medical bills in this time of need! PLEASE show your support and help donate. ANY and every penny will help Lauren and her family greatly. Shes always been there as a friend and now its time to pay it forward :) So open your wallets and your heart during this time!

To date the page has raised close to $16,000 about 53% of the way to its ultmate goal of $30,000. Messages from members of the community are posted on the wall as well.

"'One goal, One heart, One team, SGVS' Your Lynwood family is thinking of you and will be there for you every step of the way! We love you Spoli!!" reads one message.
