The Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society received a donation of a new sign that now sits outside their facility on Hawkins Avenue. It was given to recognize the 35th anniversary of the organization.
Hallock Homestead Painting
The LRHS is having the 1888 Fitz-Greene Hallock Homestead painted. The labor is being donated by a painter, but the LRHS is trying to raise $5,000 for the cost of materials and a helper.

If anyone would like to make a donation, they can send it to the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society at P.O. Box 2716, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y. 11779.
So far, they’ve received donations from Moloney Funeral Home, Leg. Tom Muratore, the Rotary Club and some LRHS member.

Paul Weber from Agnew & Taylor is helping offset the cost of materials as well.
“He is a very big help,” said LRHS President Evelyn Vollgraff.
