Local Donation Centers Still Accepting Hurricane Sandy Relief
A short list of some of the locations in and around the Sachem community still open to donations.
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, dozens of locations popped up to accept donations of food, clothing, batteries and other necessities, in the anticipation of getting services to those hit the hardest by the storm. Some donation sites have temporarily shuttered due to an overload of donations. Both the Holtsville Fire House and the Ronkonkoma Fire House have shut down its operation until they can ship out what they received and make room for more.
Here is a short list of centers we've been in contact with within the last 24 hours that are still accepting donations.
