Holiday Performances Around Sachem

Check out where to catch a show this season in and around the area.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and check out any number of performances in and around the Sachem community. These performances will get even the biggest scrooge or grinch in the holiday spirit this season.

Sachem Elementary Schools

Sachem Public Library: Holiday Brass Concert, Dec. 12: The South Shore Brass Guild will be putting on a holiday performance at the Sachem Public Library this coming Sunday at 2pm. The ensemble is being conducted by Ken Mahoney.

Gateway Playhouse: A Christmas Carol The Musical, Dec. 17-23, varying afternoon and evening showtimes. This holiday classic is a perfect outing for families and will delight children and adults alike. There are a limited number of performances so be sure to get your tickets early.

CM Performing Arts Center: A Winnie the Pooh Christmas Tail, Dec. 11-30, varying morning and afternoon showtimes. CM Performing Arts Center is taking Winnie the Pooh and the 100 acre wood gang and putting on a performance for the kids and their parents alike.

Theater Three: 

  • Barnaby Saves Christmas, Now through Dec. 24, varying morning and afternoon showtimes. Once again Theater Three is putting on their performance of Barnaby Saves Christmas which is a great show for families with young children.
  • A Christmas Carol, Now through Dec. 26, varying afternoon and evening showtimes. Theater Three in Port Jefferson is also putting on a production of A Christmas Carol. The musical has been playing since November

Airport Playhouse

  • Holly Jolly Jubilee, Now through Dec. 19, varying afternoon and evening showtimes. Join Airport Playhouse for their last performances before they close their doors permanently and move into their new home at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale this coming January.
  • Frosty the Snowman, Dec. 11- 18. Just two performances are left for this children's performance of Frosty the Snowman. Both showings are at 1pm on Saturdays Dec. 11 and 18.
