Holbrook Child in Hospital Visited By SBU Seawolves

Team brought gifts, played games and took photos with young patients at the hospital.

An 11-year-old Holbrook boy admitted into Stony Brook Children's Hospital was able to take his mind off treatment with a visit from the Stony Brook University Men's Basketball team.

Taylor Havilk, among other children in the pediatric emergency department and pediatric acute care unit, received presents, got to shoot hoops and take photos with the team on Dec. 9. According to the children's hospital, Havilk was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis last year.

Families with a child currently admitted or who have been discharged from the hospital also received tickets to each of the team's basketball home games from coach Steve Pikiell.
