Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, April 3

Local positions posted on the internet remained healthy this week, but not robust. In related news, unemployment in Suffolk and in towns close to Sachem were to have dropped slightly. Help keep the trend and fill some of these position advertised across the web this week:

Carpenter: Cassone of Ronkonkoma, a family-owned business that specializes in storage space and modular buildings, is looking to hire a full-time carpenter. Familiarity with construction and electrical working is preferred.

Field Technician: Traveling and being outside are key components to this full-time position with Harris Corporation in Ronkonkoma. Knowledge of instillation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications related systems is also needed. Position is physically demanding. Ability to troubleshoot desired.

Customer Service Rep: A construction firm in Ronkonkoma seeks customer service representative to work for a salary between $38,000 and $40,000 annually. This is a phone-heavy position, taking job orders, gathering client information and dispatching workers. Experience with Microsoft Word helpful.

Assistant Director: Tutor Time is currently advertising an opening for an  assistant director at its Holbrook location. This is a full time position that reports to the director, and is responsible for  marketing, enrolling new families, and being able to understand the financial side of the facility. Benefit package including 401k offered. 

Mechanic: Hotlsville-based P&G Fleet Services, a leader in auto and truck repair, has an opening for a mechanic “B” truck. Hydraulic or generator experience gives you a leg up. Health benefits available.

Senior Staff Systems Engineer: This position with Mortola Solutions in Holtsville requires a bachelor degree and ten years experience with system technology. As a senior staff systems engineer you will be expected to write product  documents, provide technical leadership, and be able to build relationships across departments. Knowledge of the following is desirable: WLAN, WPAN, WWAN, GPS, embedded CPU’s and compass/accelerometer.

Pizza Delivery Person: Going on delivers, putting together pizza boxes, rolling dough, taking care of garbage and answering calls are all responsibilities of this pizza delivery person position at Gianna’s Pizzeria in Farmingville. Own transportation, GPS, and previous delivery experience required.

Web Application Developer: Let’s just say this is a technically-driven position with SunGard Public Sector’s of Ronkonkoma requiring knowledge of IT software and development. Primary responsibilities of the developer will be to  develop company’s IEPPLUS software application. Computer Science degree preferred.

Barber: Hair Smith, a “cool, cozy salon for gentlemen and kids,” is looking to add a barber with clientele to work in its Farmingville location. Friendly person with great customer service skills desired. Part and full time positions available.

Maintenance/Painter: Full time, but temporary, this position is with Lake Shore Adult Home in Lake Ronkonkoma. Must apply in person at 211 Lake Shore Drive. Painting experience also a must.
