First Annual Sunday Drive to Lake Ronkonkoma Coming in August

BBQ, classic cars, vendors from the community will be on hand August 7.

Vintage cars will recreate the drive to Lake Ronkonkoma on Motor Parkway as it once was in the 1940s.

On August 7, the first annual Sunday Drive to Lake Ronkonkoma parade and car show will take place.

The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. and will run from Motor Parkway (from the Hyatt Hotel) and end at Raynor Park in Lake Ronkonkoma around 11 a.m.

Vehicles from 1948 and older will complete the drive.

There will be a fair held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with multiple organizations from the community represented.

The 106th Rescue Wing Air National Guard U.S. Air Force Military Color Guard will present.

It's only $1 admission and is sponsored by the Lake Ronkonkoma Heritage Association.
