Farmingville Grocery Store Helps Out One Of Its Own

Stop N' Shop in Farmingville raises over $4,000 at Chinese Auction for ailing co-worker.

The Stop N' Shop supermarket in Farmingville held a Chinese Auction this past weekend for an employee that is battling a difficult illness. The auction was organized by employees Debbie Sunday and Pat Trinca, who work with the ailing recipient. They were given the support of the store's manager Mike Donnegan.

Between local businesses, vendors and employees, organizers were able to accumulate close to 100 baskets and ended up raising over $4,000 as community members turned out to purchase auction tickets.

"The Stop N' Shop in Farmingville would like to thank the community for coming together and helping to support this employee in her time of need," Debbie Sunday stated in an email. Browse the photo gallery of the auction, sent to Sachem Patch by Sunday.
