Clothing, Food Drive Sunday At Sachem North HS

Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sachem North High School on Sunday will serve as the drop off point for local residents to donate items for those struggling to recover from Hurricane Sandy

According to a report on the Sachem Report, the high school’s Drama Club led by advisor Jonathan Chiaramonte, will be setting up shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auditorium for donations of non-perishable food items and clothing donations.

Other items that will also be accepted include strollers, books, toys and boxes to help distribute the items.

The high school is located at 212 Smith Rd. in Lake Ronkonkoma.

I just dropped off bins of supplies at north. Just to let you know all items r going to the Red Cross wish I would have known that b4 I went

thats not true Mary^^ the food is staying local ,babies supplies went to the east shelter with 4 vans fulls of other stuff n all the clothes went to ronkokoma fire department a few things went to the red cross but remember a room with over 900 seats n a stage was filled with donations OF COURSE some went to the red cross

I was there today and I have to say those students and our residents were there helping like I never seen before. I thought Jonathan was amazing and the Drama Club, History Club.... I cant say enough about the voluteers that were there. The food and clothing were coming by the carloads. I was so proud to be part of this today and i was so proud of the students who put this all together. Your a blessing to our Community and we are so proud of all of you. Especially you Jonathan. L.G.
