13th Annual Brookhaven Fair Returns to The Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill

April 22, 2014; Farmingville, NY –The Brookhaven Fair returns to The Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill, Farmingville, for four weekends of fun, thrills and entertainment for the entire family on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day: May 9, 10 and 11; May 16, 17 and 18; May 23, 24, 25 and Memorial Day May 26; and May 30, 31 and June 1.

After the long winter and many families have caught Spring Fever and are eager for fun and thrills.  The Brookhaven Fair is the ideal place to go and enjoy.  The fair has everything an outdoor amusement park has to offer, and it’s close to home.  The Fair has entertainment and attractions for people of all ages that can’t be seen anywhere else on Long Island.

Strates Shows, the last great carnival traveling by train and midway provider for the New York State Fair for over 50 years, will once again bring its line-up of spectacular state fair rides to the Brookhaven Fair for its Long Island appearance, including rides like the Wave Swinger, Giant Wheel and Swing Tower.

Back by popular demand is the Lance Gifford Magic and Illusion Show.  This award winning act plays to a packed house at the fair each year and features spectacular stage illusions, along with magical feats that your eyes won’t believe. Also, returning is the award-winning Hi Flying Aerial Trapeze Circus Pages with breathtaking feats on the trapeze high above the fairgrounds. These masters of the aerial acts are thrilling to watch and will perform several shows each day in a unique open-air setting; the circus will also feature equestrian demonstrations with comedy.

The new Banana Derby is sure to amaze animal fans when they see monkeys riding dogs and doing tricks. Do not miss the amazing Las Vegas-style Hypnotist Show that always astounds crowds as audience volunteers are put into a deep sleep and respond to commands to perform hilarious acts. Families can visit the free petting zoo where dozens of exotic animals can be better appreciated with an up-close-and-personal look.  Meet animal rescuer, trainer and conservationist Michael Sandloffer.  Also, there will be music and spectacular free fireworks on May 10, 17, 25, and 31.

No visit to the Brookhaven Fair’s exciting midway would be complete without an assortment of typical fair food or a nifty prize from one of the games. Candy apples, cotton candy, sausage and peppers, Greek Gyros, crab cakes, funnel cakes and zeppoles are just some of the mouth-watering treats that can be found at the Fair.

The Fair gates open at 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and at noon on all weekend days as well as Memorial Day. The Fair closes at midnight.  Admission is $4.00 with a buy-one-get-one-free Admission Coupon, regular price is $8.00.
