Should I Sell or Buy now or Wait?

Increasing Mortgage Rates are here.  Reported by Freddie Mac,” interest rates for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages have risen about one full percentage point over recent historic lows”.  

“The National Association of Realtors, the Mortgage Bankers Association, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, in their July forecasts, have all projected 30-year-fixed mortgage interest rates to be between 4.8 and 5.1% by this time next year.”

This affects the bottom line monthly mortgage payments.  Whether you are buying or selling, this does affect you!

Ask your self why you are selling or buying. Can you wait?  Do you really want to wait?  And what happens if you wait and interest rates go higher?  Your purchase power goes down, and your selling price may need to go down because the buyer can’t afford the higher cost of buying a home.  If this is the right time and right reason to move, you can save a substantial amount of money in the long run.
