“Growing Young Readers” Seminar at Smithtown Cooperative Nursery School

Smithtown Cooperative Nursery School, located at 490 North Country Road in St. James, is providing a “Growing Young Readers” seminar on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 7 p.m.  Participants will take home children’s books as part of the $10 registration fee. 

National Literacy Consultant Sarah Cordova will teach caregivers how to instill a love of reading in the youngest readers by explaining what questions to ask and how to select the right books.  Strategies and techniques to prepare children for elementary school will be discussed.  Attendees will be provided with information about the newest, best books to read to children.
