Lake Ronkonkoma Student Earns B.S. in Accounting

On Sunday, May 20, 2012, Barbara Hyms, a lifetime resident of Lake Ronkonkoma received a B.S. Degree in Accounting from New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury.  She also graduated top in her class among her peers of the Accounting and Business majors, Summa Cum Laude distinction, and received three undergraduate awards in the School of Management including the Academic Achievement Award in Accounting, Academic Achievement Award in Business Administration and the Award for Excellence in Accounting.  Barbara is also in the process of earning an M.B.A. in Accounting and has been inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society while attending the college.  She is a former graduate of Sachem North High School.
