Gail Carillo Named 1st Spirit Award Winner

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage on Long Island and Queens is proud to announce that Gail Carillo of the Ronkonkoma Office was awarded the company’s first annual Spirit Award.

The Spirit Award highlights the achievements of a single sales associate who has demonstrated an overall ability to represent the real estate industry at the highest and most commendable level.  The winner of this award contributes greatly to the success of his or her company, the real estate industry, the community, and office colleagues while maintaining a substantial level of production.  The winner is recognized as a person who exemplifies our business principles.

Carillo, the first annual Long Island Sprit Award winner, was chosen for her enthusiasm for and true embodiment of the company’s culture.

“In 2011, Gail helped many families buy or sell a home,” said Bill McCartney, branch vice president of the Ronkonkoma Office.  “She has in many cases provided these families with a renewed sense of hope and understanding, while assisting them to accomplish their goal – a goal to make a new life for their families in a new home.”

Carillo participates in real estate seminars in order to inform the public about the local real estate market.  She also presents at other branch offices within the company to share her position of optimism and knowledge in making business decisions.

“Gail is highly revered by her peers and often someone the agents in our company go to when they need advice,” McCartney continued.  “Her spirit is undeniably contagious and respected by the public, our community, our agents, as well as agents from other companies.”

Carillo began her career in real estate in 1999 as a graduate of the American Real Estate School.  In her first year as an associate, she was named Rookie of the Year.  A Licensed Associate Broker, Carillo is a certified Relocation Specialist and a consistent top producer; in 2011, she was named a member of Coldwell Banker’s International President’s Circle, awarded to associates who rank in the top 4% of the 85,000 Coldwell Banker agents worldwide, and was named Long Island’s Top Associate for Coldwell Banker Home Loans and Coldwell Banker Island Title.

Carillo is also involved in her community; she was a former president and board member of the Mothers Center of the South Shore in Sayville, former Hotline Operator and community educator at Response of Suffolk County – Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention in Stony Brook, and PTA member.  Gail is currently co-coordinating the “Hoops for the Holidays” event with a colleague from the Ronkonkoma Office, which aims to raise funds and gifts for families in need on Long Island during the holiday season.  She resides in Holbrook with her two sons, Sage and Blake.
