Here's a list of some of the happenings in and around Sachem on this Tuesday, August 6.

Suffolk County ALS Support Group. This ALS support group is meeting at the Department of Neurology of Stony Brook Hospital, which is located on Belle Meade Road in East Setauket. Meeting time: 6 p.m.

Teen Book Discussion. The Sachem Public Library continues its teen book discussion with "What Happened To Goodbye" by Sarah Dressen in Community Room C today at 3 p.m. Get a copy of the book at the Teen Services desk and join in.

Pilates. If exercise is more your thing, head over to the Sachem Library tonight at 7 p.m. for a Pilates session with Carol Klein in Community Room B. Please bring your own exercise mat. 

Long Island Baymen Playoffs. Head over to the diamond in Lake Ronkonkoma to catch some summer league baseball playoff action. The Long Island Baymen will be hosting their opponents at their home field off Smithtown Boulevard in Lake Ronkonkoma, across from Little Vincent's Pizza. First pitch is at 12 noon.

Flexible Running/Walking Program. This evening program is being offered in nearby Sayville. The running club meets at 6 p.m. in Broadway Park tonight. Click the headline to learn how to sign up and pay in advance of the session.
