Al Graf Speaks Out Against Common Core. Patch will have some exclusive video of State Assemb. Al Graf speaking at the "Students, Not Scores" rally held this past weekend at Comsewogue High School. Check back at 9:30 a.m. to watch what he said about this controversial educational initiative.
Pilates. The Sachem Public Library will host a pilates session tonight at 7 p.m. in Community Room B. The session will be hosted by Carol Klein and costs $20. Please bring your own mat.
Socrates Cafe. The Sachem Library will also host the popular Socrates Cafe series tonight at 7 p.m. in the Adult Area Meeting Room. Exchange ideas with others while engaging in the Socratic practice of questioning. This monthly group is led by local resident Joan Logan. This month's discussion topic will be: "Is it possible to give too much of yourself."
That 70's Band Concert Series. Head over to the gazebo in Nesconset tonight for a free show of "That 70s Band," which plays the sounds of the 1970’s from Earth, Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang, to Chic and Donna Summer. Show starts at 7 p.m.; bring your own blanket, chairs and beverages. Parking is available in the shopping center across the street on Smithtown Boulevard.
