The Uncle Louie Files

A look at the life of a Sachem grad rolling in the entertainment industry.

This is an occasional series about a Sachem alum utilizing social media in his everyday business strategies for celebrities around the country ...

Stemming from the words of wisdom he received from hip-hop legends Eric B. and Rakim, Louis Gregory – aka Uncle Louie – said that in order to get blessings, you must first give blessings.

Recently, while talking with wrestling superstar turned movie and television mainstay Bill Goldberg, it was clear that a blessing was in the making. Goldberg has a television show on the Do-It-Yourself network called Garage Mahal and on this show, he shows up at people's homes to turn their garage into a magnificent space.

So when Goldberg said he was working on his own garage, he decided to get rid of one of his eight motorcycles. He and Gregory agreed that there was an opportunity to help a charity in the process.

Sure, it's a Harley Davidson so it's worth some money, but take into account that the bike in question is registered to Goldberg and it just happens to be his first ever Harley.

"You have the makings of a significant occasion," Gregory said. "The idea is to get the most money possible for the bike so we can help the charity in a profound manner."

Rather than merely sell the bike, they decided to sell an experience. They came up with the idea to create a website just for this purpose, and BuyBillsBike.com was born.

The high bidder will not only get the motorcycle, but they will have an opportunity to fly to California and meet Goldberg, take photos and video together with the motorcycle and with him. In addition, one of Bill's favorite photographers, Equinoxphoto.net, has taken photos of Goldberg and the Harley Davidson which will be hand signed by him, mounted and framed with a beautiful matte and provided with the bike to it's new owner.

Gregory's business partner Chuck Creekmur, the founder and president of AllHipHop.com, the highest traffic hip-hop site in the world, has agreed to be a co-sponsor for this event.

"While we fine tune the auction and work out the details, we are hoping other companies, big and small, will step up to the plate and get on board with the Buy Bill's Bike event," he said.

He's been busy with a handful of other projects, one that includes producing a Goldberg Doritos commercial, that if chosen from a contest called Crash The Superbowl, will appear during the big game.

Gregory's Uncle Louie Music Group also recently signed Onyx, adding to an already extensive all-star cast of hip-hop artists in his arsenal. Gregory is anxious to get Onyx hooked up with merchandising deals similar to his other clients that are featured in Urban Outfitter, Spencer's Gifts, Hot Topic and Foot Locker.

Recently, Gregory also received a phone call from his second grade teacher, Gail Bunce, from Tamarac Elementary.

"As my little girl finishes her first semester as a fourth grader, my phone rings and it's Mrs. Bunce," he said. "Not only was Mrs. Bunce my second grade teacher, but she had a profound impact on me to the point that through grade school, junior high, high school, college and even post-grad studies, she is still my favorite teacher.

"Without the tools she gave me back in the second grade, how could I be the man that I am today?"

Bunce, ironically, lives about an hour away from Gregory in Florida.

"The first ever Ben's Delicatessen to open outside of New York is down here too," he said. "Look for a photo of Mrs. Bunce, me and a pastrami on rye in the very near future."
