Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, June 12

Internet job postings were healthy this week, but not exactly great. As you'll notice, several positions are located just outside the Sachem area. Still, it's a stronger week than some in recent memory. Have a look: 

Physician Assistant: Primary Care Center in Ronkonkoma seeks physician assistant. Bilingual abilities preferred. Looking to fill immediately. Experience a must. Benefits offered.

Babysitter: Ronkonkoma family seeks sitter for three children ages two, four, and five. Hours are primarily in the evening (6 p.m. until 9 p.m.) during the week, but weekends might also be needed. Pay between $10 and $20.

Truck Mechanic: Located in Ronkonkoma, Universal Heavy Equipment and Truck Repair is looking to add a truck mechanic/technician to its staff. Position is for a Class A technician with at least seven years of experience in truck repair. Class B driver’s license needed. Benefits offered for this full time, Monday through Friday, position.

Community Outreach Specialist: This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in the energy-efficiency movement by working as a customer service specialist for the Conservative Service Group in Ronkonkoma. As such, the right candidate will help income-eligible customers save energy and lower their electric bills. Background in social-related work needed, as well as at least five years of experience in client relationship management. Benefits offered.

General Environmental Construction:  Needing a 24/7 availability, the successful candidate for this environmental general construction position with Clear View Environmental (CVE) in Holtsville must also have a CDL license and be experienced in tank instillation and removal. Being a full service operation, CVE is looking for an energetic, experienced environmental professional.

Opportunities at Suffolk Community College: Since this job board last posted positions available at Suffolk Community College in Selden, several new ones have been added. Interestingly enough, they run the gamut of a wastewater treatment plant operator, an assistant program director, associate vice president of academic affairs, teaching positions and more.

Restaurant Management: The Eldorado Grill has a managerial opening at its Lake Grove location. Position posting  boasts a great salary and an awesome schedule with bonuses offered based on performance. High School degree required and at least two years of experience needed. Pay between $40,000 and $57,000.

Security Services Representative: Though the Cargo Group is located in Holtsville, this position is at the company’s client office in New York City. Position requires dealing with the day-to-day processing of background screening information. Previous criminal justice experience preferred. If you’re a determined and strong-minded go-getter you have a leg up. Position boasts excellent benefits.

Breakfast Cook: Friendly’s, a community staple on Hawkins Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, is looking for an experienced breakfast cook. Pay between $10 and $12 per hour.

Chiropractic Assistant: This part-time position is open at Coram-Selden Chiropractic on Middle Country Road in Selden. Work would be conducted in the evening, roughly three nights a week. Past experience in similar setting is helpful, but if the right mature and reliable person applies, training will be provided.

Personal Banker: The Teacher's Federal Credit Union in Farmingville is looking for a part-time personal banker. Six months of teller experienced needed. Strong clerical and computer skills are key along with ability to proactively interact with clients a must. Travel to other branch locations may be required from time to time.
