Apple iPad Keeps CEO and Music Mogul Uncle Louie Connected

Social media guru is live from CES in Vegas this week.

This is an occasional series about a Sachem alum utilizing social media in his everyday business strategies for celebrities around the country...

This week, like many tech leaders in America, Louis Gregory – aka Uncle Louie in the entertainment and media worlds – is at International CES in Las Vegas, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow.

I'm a gadget freak,” the Sachem alum said. “If it's a new toy with a touch screen or screaming fast wireless connection, I'll take two.”

Gregory is an Apple Addict and he does his "Appling" in twos: two iPads, two iPhones, two iMacs and the list goes on.

Just how many iPods does he have?

“I like to try them all so each time there's a new one, I order a couple,” he said. “My wife or my daughter get the ones I'm done ‘testing’ and my best bud Eddie has been known to pocket an orange iPod whenever he gets a chance. I once caught The Fat Boys' Prince Markie Dee gifting me an iPod that I have given him.”

This week, he and discussed iPad specs and he decided he'd like a couple; one for him and one for Wanda aka Mrs. Goldberg.

“I keep one in each of my cars too but all in all, I must have over 50 iPod products,” Gregory said. “For me, it's all about being connected and keeping up with the times. This connectivity is what keeps my business ahead of the pack. I joke when I lose signal or a battery dies and I say I've got connectile dysfunction.”

He works closely with Apple product development and they take great care of his interests. His iPad has become his corporate life line: Twitter, email, music, movies, and so on. “I can literally do it all,” he said.

Demented Customs is building him a custom 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham powered by an onboard iPad system. Three iPads up front and two in the back.

In Vegas, Gregory said he loves what he sees.

“The tablet craze is the wave of the future but don't forget the iPhone,” he said. “Look for a big iPhone announcement come Monday by AT&T. You heard it hear, on Sachem Patch, first.”

AOL’s Engadget is also the official blog partner for the tech outing.
